Anita Leopold is one of eight children from a family of Italian immigrants and the proud mother of two sons. Before Anita embarked on her adventures as an entrepreneur, she was responsible for managing the Macy’s-Egleston Christmas Parade as well as children’s events throughout the country. She then began working in advertising, selling ads for the Atlanta Stadium Authority at the Fulton County Stadium. Anita was able to increase advertising sales from $200,000 to $3M in just two years.

 

She gained airport concessions expertise from her decades working as a part-owner of Business Traveler Services, Inc. (BTS), where she was responsible for managing retail from the ground up – everything from the initial design and construction to the day-to-day operations to concept development. In 1997, she founded Flying Leap, Inc. She gained credentials as a minority airport concessionaire, airport consultant, and airport employee uniform company. Today, Flying Leap is ACDBE certified in 36 states plus Washington, D.C..

 

When not busy managing her company, Anita served as a board member for youthSpark, an organization created to bring awareness to the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children. She also volunteers at the Atlanta International School as Chairperson for the school’s annual Worldfest event and Spring benefit and has raised nearly $650,000 for the school.
